Which job is better SBI PO or SSC CGL AAO?

State Bank of India offers officer post under SBI PO title every year and Staff Selection Commission offers officers level jobs through SSC CGL Exam. Both these jobs are competitive and have lot of benefits. When it comes to comparing the two and you have both the options open in your hand, then, SSC CGL AAO is far better than SBI PO. According to the analysis done of the job profiles of both the jobs it shows that SSC CGL AAO has a comfortable ride than SBI PO.

Let us analyze the differences between the two using various parameters:

Pay package and other benefits or Perks:

SSC AAO has a better pay and perks when compared with SBI PO. Besides good pay and perks the sanction of the perks is easy for SSC CGL AAO but for SBI PO clearing of the perks take lot of time which amounts to unnecessary tension and harassment at the time of need.

Social status:

When it comes to social status of your job, bank employees are not considered important over that of Government Employees especially having officer rank.

Pay commissions:

Salaries and increments introduced by Pay Commissions are only applicable to government employees.

Banking administration gets the pay and perks from the government under separate heads. Thus SSC CGL AAO gets a better chance of timely increments as introduced by the government and bank employees get it late.

Transfer policy:

Transfer Policy of government employee is liberal and friendly where as SBI does not have flexible and employee friendly transfer policy. SBI has a policy of frequent transfers which amounts to discomfort at times as it comes at a regular interval at certain levels or to get promotions.

Future prediction:

Banking and government sector both are expanding and have developed a vast horizon in the country giving assurance of comfortable ride to the employees.

Besides one aspect other factors are in favor of SSC CGL AAO. It is better to opt for SSC CGL AAO over that of SBI PO when you have both the opportunities in hand. Many of you join  Bank Coaching in Hyderabad or elsewhere to get a good score in SBI PO merit list as it has a difficulty level higher than that of SSC CGL. There is no harm in preparing for both the exams as single effort will benefit to ace both the exams and you can choose what suits you the best.

All the best!!!
