How to prepare for bank exams?

Banking sector offers a prestigious career to the graduates of our country. Most of the graduates aspire for banking sector jobs such as SBI PO, SBI CLERK, BANK PO, IBPS PO, IBPS CLERK, etc. There is more competition in bank exams than in any other government job exams. This is the reason that bank job aspirants need more practice and hard – work than for any other exams such as SSC CGL, SSC CHLS, LIC, etc.
Preparation strategy for bank exams
  1. Understand the Exam pattern and syllabus of the bank exam you are going to opt. Go through the notification from the official website and follow the syllabus officially announced by the examining body such as SBI, IBPS, RBI or RRB.
  2. SBI has a difficulty level higher than any other bank exams. Those who are appearing for SBI PO or SBI CLERK or SBI Specialist Officer have to work hard as it is one of the largest banks of the world. Competition is high because number of applicants is in millions.
  3. Common feature in all the bank exams is English Language Section which has seen tremendous changes last year. It has left the applicants to a great surprise. One needs to work hard in English language.
  4. Work on the vocabulary part of the language to improve your understanding and knowledge about the language skills. Make a list of the difficult words you come across while reading newspaper or articles or novels. Find out the meaning of those words and note down on a separate note book.
  5. Revise the list of words every day and use them in your daily life to understand the meaning and usage. It will help you to ace the Descriptive Test paper.
  6. Mathematics is not difficult as advanced mathematics is not included in the banking exams. But still you should make a list of various formulae and identities and revise them daily. Take one topic each day and after completing that topic practice it.
  7. Reasoning section is very scoring because the questions are quiz based. Understand the quiz pattern and you can solve it in seconds. It can only be mastered with lot of practice. There are no formal formulae to be learned.
  8. General Awareness is one such topic where you have to work on current events related to economy and business sector. Develop the habit of reading newspaper and note down the important events and revise them till the examination date.
  9. Finally, after completing the entire syllabus join BANK EXAM ONLINE TEST SERIES and practice one mock test daily. Don’t just attempt rather wait for the performance analysis and find out your weak areas. Improve upon them and then again appear for the next test.
