IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I

The Job and Work Profile for Officer Scale-I is somewhat similar to a Probationary Officer. After selection, a candidate has to work for 2 years of Probation Period following that one gets the promotion as Assistant Manager in the allocated Regional Rural Bank. Probation period is followed by an internal examination for the promotion. Rules and structures vary from bank to bank.
In case a candidate fails to pass then his/her probation period is extended and one gets promotion only upon successfully passing the exam.

Job Profile

Probationary Officers and Managers of banks and RRB are involved in customer dealing and maintenance. They supervise the regular activities of banks.
  1. The Job Role or Work involves looking after public relations, monitoring and regulating branch activities and tasks, address customer related issues and grievances, approving and monitoring daily branch and customer transactions and handling loan processing. 
  2. An assistant manager is has to undertake multitasks and bear out the work done by clerks as and when required. They should always be aware of the policies and decisions taken by the management. They have to implement those in the functioning of his branch as and when the need arises.
