After analyzing previous year papers, the frequently asked questions are from topics like Seating Arrangements, Syllogisms, Puzzles, Input-Output, Coding & Decoding, Ordering & Ranking, Inequalities, Directions & Distances, Blood Relations, and Verbal Reasoning etc. The proper strategy of studying Reasoning Ability Section is to first understand the concepts and then practice hard on questions based on it. It is only through regular practicing of problems your potential and ability of solving questions in lesser time will be increased.

The important tips to master Reasoning Ability Section are given below: -
  1. The topics like Circular seating arrangement and linear seating arrangements are one of the important topics from which questions have repeatedly asked for years. The questions based on them can be solved through practical approach. For solving these questions, the students should try to imagine seating arrangement around them and this will make clear picture of the problem asked in the exam. To get a clearer vision, the students should practice harder on these problems and try to solve in lesser time with full accuracy.
  2. The problems based on scheduling, and grouping and selection questions are also important and they can be solved with the help of a table. For solving problems, the students are supposed to make tables and group things related to the row heading and then they will be able to answer questions correctly.
  3. The problems based on Input Output are simple and takes lesser time to solve. The students should try to understand the logic of the question first and then apply the correct method to find the accurate answer.
  4. Among all the topics, the topic of Puzzles is the most complicated as questions based on them are mix and match of four or five concepts (seating arrangement, direction, blood relation, double lineup, scheduling etc). Therefore, the students are advised to practice hard on these questions to understand various logics and concepts involved to solve it correctly. You are supposed to solve at least 5 to 6 problems daily to become perfect in it. After master Puzzles, you should try to attempt quizzes based on it and try to solve 25 to 30 questions based on it.
  5. The questions based on Data Sufficiency have also been frequently asked. You can expect around 3 to 5 questions based on chapters like Coding and Decoding, Directions & Distances, Ordering & Ranking, Blood Relations etc. The questions based on Blood Relationships have always been regular but tricky and so regularly practice questions based on it.
  6. The questions based on Analogy can be number based, GK based, and meaning bases analogies. The questions based on it demands good common sense to judge the correct answer. It can be easiest topic, if you prepare well.
  7. The problems based on Relationship Concepts can be long and complicated but are easier to solve. The questions are based to test candidate’s cognitive skills and so they have to apply proper logics in getting the correct answer. In exam, the questions are mainly based on Single person Blood relation, mixed blood relation, and Coded blood relation.
  8. Last but not the least, the problems based on Ordering and Ranking are projected in the form of comprehension of 2-3 questions. These questions will test candidate’s abilities of counting from the back as well as overlapping counts from the front and back.
