After working for years, if SBI PO becomes branch manager then he has to manage business targets, customer complaints, routine operations, asset quality, staff issues, etc. Despite high work pressure, you will be having a lot of power and authority to tackle these issues.

The banking hours (10 AM to 4 PM) are the time hours where the actual work pressure is felt by the entire bank staff. There are occasions where PO might face customer’s queries and doubts, servers get crashed and other malfunctioning which has to be handled maturely. It’s a part of ongoing learning process which lends a lot of experience to SBI PO’s.
  3. The seniority in the post will make you more influential and powerful. It will make you more learned professional where you will be able to lead a delegation with full command. The junior level PO may feel more work pressure as the staff below you will take limited responsibilities.
  4. In SBI, Human Resources (HR) system is very good and highly competent. Being the most developed and advanced banking institution, all the operations are handled by the Local Head Office which ensures swift resolutions of queries and facilitates all the functions in the bank.
  5. In recent times, there has been news of high work pressure for SBI PO as banking sector is flourishing at a swift pace. Despite heavy work pressure, SBI POs are maintaining equilibrium between their personal and professional life. SBI PO’s and other officers are ensured with safety and security in the workplace. The congenial working environment can be termed as the biggest cultural asset of SBI. Despite working till 7 PM to 8 PM on important days, if a SBI PO gets a good senior officer then working becomes a pleasure for him. As a junior officer, a SBI PO might consider it as a notable work experience where he can learn many significant aspects of banking and ways of handling heavy work pressure. On the flip side, the working can be monotonous for a SBI PO if he is posted in RBO.
  6. On an optimistic note, promotion process of POs is faster now where they can become a Chairman in 20 to 25 years of experience. As a professional, SBI PO enjoys handsome salary packages, lots of incentives and perks which enhances standard of living.
